Günter Gloser (*1950) has studied law and political science at
the University of Erlangen. From 1982 to 1994 he worked for the Federal
Employment Service, ultimately as head of division. Since 1994 he is
member of the German Bundestag for the constituency of Nuremberg North.
He served as chairman of the SPD sub-district Nuremberg and chairman
of the Parliamentary Friendship Group for Relations with the Maghreb
States. Between 2000 and 2005 he was spokesperson of the SPD Parliamentary
Group on European policy. Today, Günter Gloser is Minister of
State for Europe.
